It’s that time of the year where gifts are given and received.  Little and big all wrapped up in ribbons and paper.  Something about the things all wrapped up makes me smile and these holiday gift wrapping ideas do just that for me too.  Take a look for yourself and I hope it brings a smile to your face as well and of course gives you a couple ideas of wrapping up your gifts this season.  Pictured above from the very talented Leslie from A Creative Mint, Vignettes of Color.

Happy Gifting Everyone!!

Ok, it was really hard for me not to blog about these amazing Father’s Day cookies that I just ran into on Amy Atlas. I know these are food, but as you can see I decided on posting this on the mommy section because I thought these would be a great idea for a gift or party.  I know it’s too late to order these for Father’s Day, since it’s Sunday, but what about for a dad’s birthday…or any other party or special event?  Now to introduce you to these cookies!!!  They are from Eleni’s in New York City.  If you haven’t seen her cookies and other amazing desserts you have to go on her site and check them out.  She is amazingly talented!!  Amy Atlas actually first introduced me to Eleni’s cookies because she has used her on several occassions for her amazing dessert tables.  Eleni is super talented and creative and her cookies show you that too.

Now just sit back and take a look at these cookies….and again keep in mind that some of these could work for the dad, husband, son, boyfriend in your life that has some special event coming up.

And some of my favorites include the cookies revolved around sports.  I grew up as a only child that played a bunch of sports due to my dad’s love of sports.  You name the sport I probably played it.  There was basketball…fast-pitch softball…tennis…and the sport in which I fell in love with…soccer!  I have even been seen throwing a football.  But don’t worry I was also loved shopping and clothes which was influenced by my mom.

Ok, now on to these cookies….

Aren’t these amazing!  Again not only great for Father’s Day but any event really.  Make sure to check out Eleni’s other amazing goodies like her cupcakes and brownies! Or her summer themed cookies!  Do you have a 4th of July party coming up.  Check out these amazing 4th of July goodies

I hope you enjoy these cookies as much as I have!  Have a wonderful Father’s Day weekend!

I love to bake and I honest get that trait from my wonderful mom and grandmother.  They are amazing bakers!  I have so many wonderful memories of being in the kitchen with them.  I was under their feet most the times and mostly because I wanted to get my hands on the beaters.  Now that I’m a mommy I can’t wait for the day where the girls can join me in the kitchen.  We already play in the “little girl” kitchen but I’m looking forward the day we move to the “big girl” kitchen.  I’m already prepping them by watching the Food Network.  Only kidding….well ok sort of kidding.

Since bakers run in my family and I have a soft spot for all things baking related I thought I would share some baker gift ideas in case your mom is baker too.  Or if you just want to pass along some of these ideas to your kids/husband to get you for your special day.

If you haven’t been able to tell so far, I’m a huge lover of all things silhouettes.  I find them simple but beautiful.  It probably doesn’t help that growing up in the South it was common to find them on the walls of many homes.  I remember my best friends mom having silhouettes of all three of her children.  I really think they are timeless.

With Mother’s Day quickly approaching I thought I would share two of my favorite artists on Etsy, la papier studio and nella designs.  They are both amazing and they can do customize  art to fit your little ones and family silo’s.  I know I would love to have any of their work as a mommy gift come next Sunday.

Featured above is work from la papier studio who also has a great blog.  Her shop includes everything from framed art, calling cards, pillows, necklaces, and note cards.  Just a few of my favorites include:

Custom Family Silhouette’s

Custom Sibling Silhouette’s

Custom Silhouette’s

She has so many amazing things so be sure to check out her shop to see so much more.

Nella Design Studiopictured above has adorable silhouettes in her etsy shop along with calling cards, invitations, and note cards.  Really adorable stuff and again you can have things customized to fit your little ones and families silhouette’s.

Some of my favorites from her shop include:

Custom Family Silhouette

Love Me Do Child’s Print

Personalized Children’s Prints

These ladies have great work so make sure to go check out their work.

And stay tune for more mommy gift ideas….
