Marathon Training…


On Thursday my Nike Plus Sportsband arrived and I’m so excited it did!  Now I can plug it in and it can download my runs!  So exciting!  Not only does the sportsband track the runs, but it can show my pace.  I also can plug in how I felt the run was after I’m done.  It’s amazing how little things like this makes me so happy! 

On Saturday it was beautiful out so I decided to go for a run with the girls.  It ended up being a 7 mile run and the whole time pushing a stoller with two munckins.  And the crazy part is I could have kept going!  So here is what my Nike Sportsband recorded on Saturday.

How cool is this!?  Really?  I’m just amazed how great this and the best part is I can look down during my run and see how many miles I’ve already tracked.  I actually ran 7 miles and walked the last .35 miles as my cool down.  As you can tell from the above graphic.

Ok, so since I got the new sportsband I started my challenge over again so my runs can actually be “tracked” and “recorded”.  I should be going on to week 3, but instead I’m actually doing week 2 again.  This week my goals are the following:

Monday – 5 miles

Tuesday – off

Wednesday – 3 miles

Thursday – 8 miles

Friday – Off

Saturday – 5 miles

Last week I spent a lot of time on the spinning bike since the weather was a little cool.  I did a little bit of running on the treadmill and really didn’t get out onto the road until Saturday.  Now that I have the sportsband I’m so excited for the training to really start.  I’ll be back next week with the actuals.

    Congrats on embarking on marathon training! Disney was my first marathon last year, such a fun place to run!!

    I use a Garmin, but the Nike sportband always looks so fun and motivating. Do you like it so far? And my gosh- you are one fast girly – 6:20 pace? Awesome!
