Makeup Favorites

02.4.10

Trust me, I am by no means an expert of what’s new and hot in the beauty and skin care world.  I try to stay up to date.  I’m the first one to grab InStyle’s yearly publishing where they list the best products of the year.  But in the end, I simply know what works for me and what I have grown to love in the years since I started to use this wonderful thing called make-up. After all, as I get older the more I rely on it! Only kidding, ok sort of kidding! I don’t use much but what I do use I love!  Because I’m a girl and we girls show one another what products we like to use, here’s what’s in my makeup drawer right now. (I’ve linked to random vendors for most of the products, but you can find most of these things online or in stores.  Another reason why I love google!)

Eyes

Dior 5 Color Eyeshadow, Earth Reflection - $58

I know a little expensive but so worth it.  The colors are great and last and if your like, they don’t cause problems for sensitive skin or eyes.  I like the Earth Reflection palette the best because it’s pretty natural (I’m a pretty natural kind of girl).  They have tons of color palette’s though so you can pick which is best for your skin tone.

L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara, $8

Great Mascara and even better it’s $8!

Cheeks

Laura Mercier Bronzer Duo - $32

I’m not much of a blush kind of girl.  Maybe because as a teenager I had the most horrifying experience with it.  I guess that’s my own faught for going in my mom’s makeup bag.  So now I go for the bronzer to give a subtle “glow”.  I really like Laura Mercier’s products….as you can tell from this list.

Sephora Bronzer Brush, $26

Face

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisterizer, $42

I love, love, love this stuff!  I use this by itself most days and use a little bit of foundation in the places I need the most.  It’s the best stuff ever and a little goes a long way.

Laura Mercier Oil-Free Foundation, $42

Again, I don’t use foundation a lot but when I do need a little extra coverage and this is my go to foundation of choice.  I like the oil-free because my face is already oily so I don’t need the extra shine.  Like the moisterizer, a little goes a long way.

Lips

Again, I’m all natural when it comes to most things dealing with make-up so lips are one of those too.  Here are some of my favorites:

Smashbox Photo Finish Lipstick – in Charming, $22

Fresh Sugar Lip Gloss - so many great colors to choose from, $18

There it is some of my makeup favorites, thanks for letting me share.  What are some of your favorites?
