I just came back from attending the International Toy Show in NYC for work and spotted some amazing products.  I thought I would share with everyone some of my favorites from the show.  One of my favorites was P’kolino.  P’Kolino(pee-ko-lee-no) was founded to improve play at home by two dads with a passion for creating great products. With the help of their friends, family and a global network of designers, P’kolino created play products.  They are all playful, stylish, smart, and have functionality.

I had a lot of favorites from their collection of products but I think my favorite was their Play Table collection.  They are all fun and totally functional for the little people in your lives.

P’kolino also offers these super cute and fun Play Seating featuring some funny friendly faces. These smart characters are comprised of three soft pieces that when “puzzled” together make a playful friend. Sturdy enough for a wobbly toddler to balance on and light weight enough to move around, these silly seats are a fabulously fun gross motor tool.
So, climb on it, sit on it or drool on it; the snugly, durable fabric is  removable and washable.  An extra a bonus!

Next is their collection of Toys & Arts which is filled with super fun products for your little one to play with.  This collection of products are also filled with award winners.  The Multi-Solution Shape Puzzles have won awards from Parents Magazine and is also a Parents Choice award winner.  The Puzzle Stacker won the 2009 Top Toy of the Year from Creative Child and the 2009 Parents Best Toy award.  If I could give an award I would give it to the Book Bunggee, a fun way to make books a part of your childʼs everyday play.

P’Kolino is one of my favorites from the show.  Hope they are one of your new favorites too.

Have you decided what your little ones are going to be for Halloween yet?  I have to say I hadn’t given it much thought until I headed to Party City this past weekend to pick up something.  It was there that I ran into crowds of parents and kids searching for the very best costume.  Wow!  It’s not even a week into October and the hunt for a Halloween costume is in full effect.  After coming home from the store I quickly started to think what the girls might be for Halloween.  I even asked them and they stared back at me in wonder…”I don’t know mommy!”  I started to name off characters and they said yes to pretty much each one.  Those two little girls make me laugh.  I have a feeling I’ll have to give this a little more thought, but I better act quick before all the costumes are gone.  Or maybe I’ll get creative and make their costume?  hmmmm…to be continued.

Since I was in the hunt for a costume I thought just maybe others would be too…or maybe I’m the only one that hadn’t thought about it until this weekend?  Either way I thought I would share some super cute costumes I have ran across recently while wondering what the girls would be.

Pictured above are from my favorite lady, Martha Stewart: Three Little Lambs, Black Raven, Flower Petal Girls, Little Glamor Girls

Above photo’s are from Family Fun: Gnome, Boxers, Zebra and Tiger, and Penguin

I’m sure everyone has seen these in your last Pottery Barn Kids catalog but I absolutely adore them!

Do you know what your little ones are going to be this year?  If so, please share.  I would love to hear!  And I’ll keep you posted on what my little munchkins end up wearing.

With Halloween right around the corner how cute would these knit hats be from Sweet Pea Toad Tots?  It might make things super easy in the costume department.  The hardest part would picking which one of these you like the most.

Most of the hats are made from 100% organic wool.  Nothing best for your little ones right?  And all of them come in sizes newborn to 5T!

The lion might be my favorite?  But the little chef is a close 2nd.

But there is this cute Baby Dr.Seuss

And you wouldn’t go wrong with these adorable lambs

Which one is your favorite?  I bet your little one would be the hit of the Halloween party with one of these cute hats.

With the girls starting school in three weeks I have been on the hunt for a lunch box for their first day.  I think I’m also trying to consume my thoughts with other things besides the fact that they are starting school.  Yikes!  they are growing up.  It’s not preschool so does that mean it’s not officially school?  They are beginning the “Tot” program and will be in a class of 10 other 2 and 3 year olds.  It was a hard decision, but we think it’s going to be great for everyone in the end.  I’m just not looking forward to that first day of them walking inside their classroom for the first time.  After all, it feels like it was yesterday that I was holding them in my arms (both of them).

As I was on the hunt for lunch boxes I came across some really great things that I had to share with you all.  Like the adorable lunch boxes above from Skip Hop.  So cute and there are 6 animals to choose from.  What’s your favorite?  I think the owl is just too cute for words!

Then what about these?  Reusable, washable, and grease proof snack bags….and they are pretty!  Lunchskins offers three sizes of reusable bags in a variety of adorable prints.  If you aren’t too sure about reusable bags maybe this may change your mind….every day, more than 20 million sandwich bags from school lunches go into landfills in the US.  I think these adorable lunch bags are a lot more fun and you won’t be worried about being one of those people filling up that landfill.

And here just a few more fun things that are perfect for packing your little ones lunch.

1. Japanese-style lunchbox with whimsical designs 2. Resnackit reusable lunch bags 3. Mini Lunchbox Notes to create quick personal notes inside your kids lunch box 4. Water Week water bottles can be filled and stored in fridge leaving kids to decide which bottle to use every day.

Now that I have the perfect lunch box and accessories now to figure out what I will be packing each day for my munchkins.  I hope these ideas were fun for everyone as much as they were for me to find.

Blabla is a collection of adorable kids product ranging from these super cute dolls to clothing.  Florence Wetterwald and Susan Pritchett started their company after a trip together to Peru.  They then decided to create a line of knitted products for kids.  Their product is knitted by Peruvian artisans using natural fibers of exceptional quality.  It also helps that everything is super cute.  To all my Atlanta friends out there be sure to check out their store located at 1189 Virginia Ave, Atlanta GA 30306. I know next time I’m home I’m making a stop.

I had to share this one last thing that I found on the Blabla site that I fell in love with….

Blabla means nothing and everything, it’s a swirl of letters flying, a small word for a big idea…

“Happiness fits in the palm of the hand”

Blabla searches for beauty, authenticity, and laughter.

I think they have done a very good job of capturing that in their adorable kids products.  Enjoy everyone!
