Rocks + Imagination = Fun! With just paint, glue, and clay children can transform the stones they stumble across into animals, people, or toys. I came across these adorable rock crafts on MarthaStewart.com. I love exploring her website! She has some really great ideas! If you have some time and need some ideas for the kids this summer I highly recommend you stop by and take a peak. There were too many adorable little rock animals on her site that I couldn’t resist sharing almost all of them with you. Which is your favorite? I’m sure the possibilities are endless as to what you can create with your little ones.
Perhaps a lion, elephant, or owl? Either way what a fun way to spend a summer day or rainy day with the little ones letting their creative minds explore. I’m already excited to have fun with my munchkins!
So go and have fun making some amazing crafty rocks!

I recently posted some fun ideas for indoor activities to do with your little ones on those hot or rainy days. But since we aren’t in the dead of the summer quite yet I thought I would also post some ideas for some outdoor fun. My girls love to be outdoors and I recently ran across these fun games from Land of Nod and Pottery Barn Kids that would be perfect to do with them.

And here are just a few more fun outdoor games or activities you can play with the little ones.

Have fun!!

As the temperatures are rising here in South Florida I have been looking for ideas for indoor “fun” for my 2 ½ year old twins. Since I know the weather will soon be warming up in other parts of the US I thought I would share some of these cool craft ideas to keep little one’s busy and mom’s stress-free!
Homemade Finger Paint – this little recipe is non-toxic and washable so you don’t have to worry (too much) about your kids painting.
Homemade Hopscotch – perfect for hot days or even rainy days. Just roll it out and have some hop-scotchin fun times! Great exercise for those little ones too. It will bring back great memories for the parents too.
Now this is my favorite! As a kid I loved playing dress-up and I would go into my mom’s closet and come out with all her clothes. However, she didn’t like it when I grabbed stuff that was brand new. That’s why this Dress Up Box would be perfect!! How fun!
Hopefully these indoor activity ideas will be useful for all you parents out there whether it’s sunny and hot or rainy outside.
