Little ones are out for the holiday break and why not have some fun as you wait for Santa’s arrival.  It will keep everyone from going crazy and keep everyone smiling.  And even help with those last minute gifts.  Here are a couple ideas to keep the little ones busy while they are out of school these next few days.

Gumdrop pops a super cute idea that is if you can keep the little ones from eating them.

These Sweet Little Snails would make anyone smile.  Great idea to even add to Santa’s cookie plate.

Do you have a box of buttons in all shapes and colors?  Here are two cute ideas to use them up and make something to enjoy on the Christmas tree for years to come.  Or even give them away as gifts.  Homemade gifts are always that much better.  Button Wreath Ornaments and Christmas Button Ornaments.

Another cute idea that the bigger kids can help with are these adorable chocolate snowman bowls.  Love these!

Have fun these next few days with the little ones with these super fun holiday ideas.

Once again Sara and Brittany from One Charming Party have done it again.  I was amazed by the adorable idea of a kids Gingerbread Party.  Included in their idea are several different types of gingerbread houses and cottages the little ones can create at the party with just a few ingredients and a lot of imagination.

Of course the main activity at a gingerbread house decorating party is decorating houses!  Sara and Brittany fill you in on a few of their tips and tricks to help you out. Everything from cutting the crackers to the ingredients to make the perfect royal icing.  And don’t worry if you don’t have the time to actually bake “real” gingerbread you can just use graham crackers.  Don’t believe me, then head over to One Charming Party for the tricks.

And what’s a party without an invitation, right?  Well Sara and Brittany covered this too.  Check out their idea on how to create the perfect invite that is sure to bring everyone to your Gingerbread Decorating Party.

And all packaged up it would look a little like this….

Amazing, right?  And the perfect idea for the long holiday break with kids out from school.  Maybe have a small get together and build gingerbread houses.  What a fun and creative idea!  Thanks Sara and Brittany for yet again another amazing party idea.

I ran across this great free download over on The TomKat Studio from Paper Glitter.  Thought it was absolutely adorable and perfect for the little ones next week.  A great way to keep them busy while you are busy in the kitchen.  And it also allows them to write down what they are thankful for which is one of the traditions we have started.

Head over and see for yourself this adorable free download and a huge thanks goes out to Paper Glitter for coming up with this adorable print out.

I have loved  the children’s illustrator Sarah Jane work for several years now.  She is very talented and her work continues to amaze me in.  Recently I ran across her Paper Doll set and thought it was too adorable not to share.  You can find it in her Etsy Shop along with many of her other illustrations.

The set includes: 1 SET OF SWEET PAPER CHILDREN, 2 SETS OF CLOTHING: Dress ups and School Days (shown below).

These paper dolls are printed onto high quality matte cardstock. Paper measures 8.5 x 11 inches.

Sarah Jane is currently in the works on a children’s picture book called CHRISTMAS GOODNIGHT written by Laura Godwin and should be in stores soon.  The book is a simple goodnight story which mixes the traditional Christmas story with the story we make for ourselves every season.

I can’t wait to see it!

Now head over to Sarah’s Etsy Shop to see these adorable paper dolls and all of her other amazing work.
