Circus Carnival Party
This post is extra special because it happens to be my twin daughters 3rd birthday party that was this past weekend. After featuring and being influenced by other amazing children’s birthday parties I decided I would try to plan and organize my little girls 3rd birthday party. With both boys and girls attending I wanted to go with a theme that would appeal to everyone. So welcome to the Circus Carnival Birthday Party!!
On the dessert table and on the seating tables were some of the animals you would find at the circus, like the elephant above. I was able to find these animals at Michael’s for a $1.00 each. They were actually in the stocking stuffer aisle of the store. A great find and a big hit with the kids.
For the tables I made these centerpieces. The flowers I made using party tissue streamers in the main colors of the party: red, light blue, and white. These are really easy to make and I will work on a DIY soon to let you know how you can make your own. The sticks with the 3 and the stars are actually birthday candles I found at my local Party City. Don’t worry they weren’t used as candles, but I thought they were a cute addition to the centerpieces.
My girls love cupcakes and I knew these would be a must have at the party. I made two different kinds for the party, Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Frosting and Chocolate with Cream Cheese Frosting. The clown cupcake toppers I found on one of my favorite baking sites Bake it Pretty. The cupcake wrapper I made using scrapbook paper in red and white stripe. These are really easy to make if you have a cupcake wrapper template like this one from Skip to My Lou.
Some of the other goodies on the dessert table included these chocolate covered oreo lollipops from Sweeties by Kim.
Kim was great to work with and I couldn’t have been happier how these oreo lollipops came out.
Here are some of the other goodies from the dessert table
Gumballs in the parties colors: Light Blue, White, and Red
On the food table there was a variety of sandwiches. Including these Chicken Salad Sandwiches which were made by my mom using her famous chicken salad. The flags I made using scrapbook paper and gluing onto bamboo toothpicks.
Also included on the main food table was peanut butter sandwich stars and turkey and cheese pinwheel sandwiches.
For drinks we had pink lemonade and mini bottle waters. The blue and white striped straws I also found on Bake it Pretty.
The party also included games, a coloring table, and a bounce house for the kids (and even adults) to have fun. Some of the games included animal crochet, bean bag toss, and star ring toss.
The kids coloring table was a big hit too
Here are a few more photo’s from the party.
Each child left with a thank bag from the girls which included a animal coloring book, a small box of crayons, animal chocolate covered oreo cookies that I made, a rainbow lollipop, and oreo lollipop from the dessert table.
Animal Chocolate Covered Oreo’s, I made these using a candy mold from Wilton.
In the end the party was a big success. The girls had so much fun that the next day they asked if they could go to their party again.
I owe a big thanks to my mom who was a huge help! I’m not sure what I would have done without her.
A BIG HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY to my little girls!!
Note: All the signs from the party including the food signs, the 3 sign, and the party favor tags I made myself.
