Decor: Girls Butterfly Room

As you all know, the girls are quickly approaching the move from “baby” room to a “big girl” room.  I’ve been searching and looking and looking some more.  A few weeks ago I posted a birdie themed room, but I feel in love with the idea of a butterfly room.  I really liked the butterfly mirrors for the wall and maybe the initals for above each of their beds?  Yes, I’m a southern girl at heart…we love monograms!  The lamp was also great and could also work for the birdie room.  The bedding and sheets are from Pottery Barn Kids and really liked the idea of a quilt because it’s light.  The South Florida summers are too hot for anything heavier.

And this is what really got me thinking of a butterfly room….

The two beds helped the vision along I must admit.

I have one more idea for the girls room and I’ll post that soon.  I would love to hear what you all think of the two choices so far.

My vote is for the butterflies. I really like the colors and the pretty pink netting thing above the beds is adorable. I think a very faint pink or lavendar paint color would look great. Good luck making your decision!

When I received my Pottery Barn catalog a few weeks ago, that rose petal canopy really stood out. I think it’s gorgeous.

My twins are 4.5 {boy & girl} and I could not wait to have their rooms decked out in PB Kids. I had everything purchased before they could even walk. I did the Butterfly theme in my daughters room. Didn’t do the mirrors {thought about it} but went for the retro pattern butterfly’s because I didn’t want her to potentially find a way to reach the mirror. From their rooms to the bathroom, I’m sure I could own stock in PBKids. So addicting. Have fun with that project.

On a different note, can I just say I love your blog. I manage 3 blogs right now and jumping from blog to blog is tiresome! I would love to collaborate all my loves into one blog. I too loved 316!! Awesome job!
