Decor: Girls Room

I’m in the middle of trying to figure out how and what I’m going to do to the girls room as they are quickly approaching a “big girl” makeover to their bedroom.  They are also quickly approaching the move from a crib to a toddler bed.  Luckily, my parents helped in buying us our convertible beds so no furniture will be needed.  It’s just everything else.  It’s so sad to think that they are ready to have a “big girl” room.  I remember getting the nursery ready like it was yesterday.

Ok, so the above is my first idea for the room.  What do you think?  I’m not really a pink kind of girl but it has quickly grown on me so I thought adding this to their room would be nice.  Too much?  Here is the room that caught my eye which inspired the above.

I really love the yellow and pink combo and the adorable bird graphics on the bedding and bed skirt.  The lamp above I thought would look great along with the birds in the bedding.  The paint colors are a little bit of a toss up for me.  Pink and Green OR Yellow and Pink?  Then the wall decal I feel in love with.

I have a few more that are also crossing my mind for the girls “new” room so I’ll be posting those in the weeks to come to see what everyone thinks.

I LOVE the idea of the bird theme. You could take it a step further and get a couple finches for the girls. hahaha!

Thanks Meliss! I’ll have to think about the finches. Not sure if Parker would like that though!
