I feel better when I eat clean not stuffed, bloated and craving something sweet. I maintain my weight no more yo yo. Plus unprocessed foods are not good for, it was used in the olden days why start now!

I have a auto immune disease and was frustrated with my endocrinologist telling me there was nothing I could do about my symptoms. I started doing research and came across the Paleo lifestyle. I started slowly about 6 months ago, by removing sugar; and except for a rare, occasional latte I’m now dairy-free, too. I’m in the process of slowly using up any grains, pasta or legumes left in my pantry. Even so, my grocery lists are now exclusively planned around paleo recipes and snacks. I’ve never felt better!

I’ve struggled with my diet for quite some time now, which is another story. However, recently I’ve become familiar with the Paleo lifestyle. I’m starting to realize that diets are unattainable and are completely commercialized. Where as living a healthy lifestyle, that can be maintained over the period of one’s life is, what I think, a healthy goal we all strive for. Whether we accomplish that or not can be explained by dissatisfaction resulting in unstable diets that cannot be maintained over one’s life. As a collegiate athlete and studying exercise science and nutrition, I think the Paleo lifestyle serves a vital role in a healthy individual. While I am not perfectly strict, I think this book would help me become more focused on a healthy future than my past. Sounds like an awesome read too!

i started down the paleo path after seeing a holistic nutritionist to heal the stomach and digestive problems i’ve had for years (since I was 8!) it’s been a life-changing journey so far, and i’m optimisitic for the future.

I want to go paleo. I’ve been doing crossfit for over a month now and want to incorporate the paleo lifestyle. I figure why bust my butt in the box if I’m not going to reap the benefits. I have 4 boys ages 17 to 6 and want to the best role model I possibly can for them.

  6. Geri says:

I was putting on weight while eating a low fat, low calorie diet and felt lousy. After investigating alternatives, Paleo seemed like the most intelligent choice. I’m doing great, feeling great and on my way to a healthier me!
