I was over the moon when I arrived home from work early last week to find not one but two Eat Like a Dinosaur from the Paleo Parents. I was so excited I even posted about it on my facebook page.  I immediately opened the book and flipped through the pages with excitement.  This book is full of family friendly, super healthy, super delicious, kid-friendly recipes….and of course Paleo.  A win for the whole family!

I met Stacy in the blog world and I can’t tell you how sweet of a person she is.  We chatted through a couple emails and in one of the emails she had the brilliant idea of doing a Paleo New Year’s Eve post.  I couldn’t resist and what fun it was!  Also in the emails Stacy and I talked about the upcoming Eat Like a Dinosaur cookbook.  I was so excited for this cookbook!

Here are a couple reasons why:

Over 100 quick and easy, fun, family friendly recipes…and again Paleo

The fact they are parents and they changed their lives (and their families) with food and want to share that with others.  Pretty awesome!

Special chapter for parents, sharing tips and tricks on how to approach food changes with your kids.

Illustrated story describing the Paleo diet, perfect for those little people in your life!

Here is a video with a look inside Eat Like a Dinosaur cookbook.

Now once I got my hands on the cookbook here are a couple more things I love about this cookbook:

Allergen Index with visual icons

Tips on packing lunches

Stories behind each recipe

How the kids can join in and help with certain recipes

Now for the fun part!  Like I said, I received TWO copies!!  I’m holding onto one but I’m giving away the other to a lucky person.

I would love to give this book to my sisters family as her husband has Celiac Disease. They have limited what the girls eat because they don’t know if they have it or not yet and it would be nice to find recipes that the whole family will enjoy! I was recently diagnosed with Hypothyroid and even though I think I eat healthy I would like to improve. I really want to try your Chicken cups recipe soon. BTW how do you print the recipes on the site without the rest of the web page? I have also “liked” on Facebook!

  6. Shelly smith says:

I hav four little boys ages 2, 4,6,and 8 yrs old. My husband had cholesterol issues and we started crossfitting to be healthier for our kids. It took about a year for my husband to adopt paleo and me more like two yrs but we completely changed our lifestyle. We have both gleened amazing results snd i hav shared this lifestyle change with innumerable adult patients as i am a healthcare professional. About six months ago I got a wake up call from a friend asking if we chose to make changes why didn’t we do the same for the kids? I was taken aback with guilt, but I purposely told myself I wanted them to be able to be kids and have a normal childhood. What was I thinking! So now the challenge is how do I impart paleo for kids in a world that is addicted to grain carbs and furthermore if you’re not then something’s wrong! I would love to hav the book to really see how I can integrate paleo into everyday life for them.

I am SO excited about the possibility of winning a copy of this book! My son is just about to turn 1 and I think this would be a great birthday present! We are trying to give him a great start by sticking to the Paleo diet… but I find it SO hard to think of quick and easy meals and snacks for him (so he often just ends up with veggies and plain meat)…Even though he LOVES his veggies, I’d really appreciate learning some fun new recipes for him!

I have 4 daughters, two who have several health issues including athsma, allergies and eczema. My 5 year old also has various mental health issues. This year i was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. In an attempt to get some of us off our numerous medicines, we started the Paleo diet and LOVE IT!! Feeding 4 picky children is a constant battle. I would LOVE a book with recipes created with kids in mind!! Might make my stress-filled days a little lighter!!

I think that this cookbook is awesome! As a preschool teacher I have found that more and more students enrolled in my class each year, seem to have some sort of food allergy, with gluten being one of the more common ones. This cookbook would be a great resource for snacks that we could create as a class, and also to share with parents for new food ideas to create at home :)

  30. Ashley says:

I would love to receive this book! I am slowly trying to make my small gluten free/paleo cookbook library larger (I have two books right now, hehe). I have many allergies, including gluten, dairy, soy, sugar, corn, yeast and certain foods containing tyramines. Trying to find foods that fit my needs and having to buy organic is hard on the budget, but it is worth it because I don’t feel sick anymore! I love experimenting with new recipes of my own and from the gluten free/paleo bloggers I follow. It would be great to try some new recipes from this cookbook and also to show it to my family and cook for them!

In the last year I had a eye opener and have been facing some health issues I’ve been keeping behind closed doors that I can’t do anymore and broke from being a long term vegetarian last summer and have also been recently thinking I most likely have a gluten intolerance and have been looking more and more into incorporating a paleo lifestyle and come to fall in love with the blog Paleo Parents and would just love to have their new cookbook.
