Today is the birthday of my wonderful and fabulous best friend Melissa! I thought I would pay tribute to her today, not only to wish her the best of wishes but to tell her just how much she means to me.
Before I do that let me tell you a little about our friendship. Melissa and I have been friends since the 5th grade! I don’t even remember how old you are in the 5th grade but let’s just say it’s been a long, long time! However, Melissa and I weren’t the best of friends when we first met. I was new to the neighborhood (and school) and I wasn’t quite welcomed at first but by the end of 5th grade we were pretty much glued to each others hip. We did everything together and if it wasn’t for her help to finish my chores we would have never been able to go and play/get into trouble. I could list every important moment in our friendship, but we would be here all day. Let’s just put it this way, we have been with each other through many important parts in our lives. I wouldn’t know what to do without her friendship!
Here are 10 things I love about my best friend Melissa….
1.) No matter the distance I know she will always be there! We live in different states these days, but I know she would be there for me with no questions asked.
2.) She understands me more than I think I do at times.
3.) She will always be 100% honest with you! Trsut me!
4.) She’s the sister I never had. We aren’t blood related, but I love her like I would a sister.
5.) She can keep a secret… trust me she has kept several through the years!
6.) She has a heart of gold and would do anything for you. That goes for her amazing husband Drew too!
7.) She is an amazing mommy and wife!
8.) I am amazed by her passion and drive. We both tease each other that we need to have our own business.
9.) She will support any idea you have 100%, but she will also let you know if that idea might have some hurdles along the way (goes back to her honesty trait).
10.) Most of all she’s been the best”est” friend a girl could ask for!!
Happy Birthday Meliss! I hope you have an extra special day! Love you and miss you tons!

Because it’s that wonderful day we all call Valentine’s Day here are 10 things I heart!
1.) my love of 7 years and husband of 5.
2.) my two little munckins that brighten my day every day.
3.) Parker…our very furry white dog who will always be my first born.
4.) my mom and dad… who always support my ideas and inspirations, even at 33!
5.) my grandmother, or to me bluemama, she is a wonderful woman that loves her grandchildren.
6.) my friends… even though we have our busy lives filled with work and growing families I know I can count on them if I ever needed them… and they know I would be there for them too.
7.) running…I know crazy, but it’s “my time” and a chance to let my mind go.
8.) creativity…I wouldn’t know what to do without it. I love it! Thank goodness I was able to go to art school. I doubt I would have made it through “regular” college!
9.) music…I love how it determines your mood and expresses how you feel or don’t feel.
10.) family…I’m thankful and happy to have my family! I love them more than words and I’m thankful to have their love back.
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Stop and think about the 10 things you heart! It will make you smile, I know mine did!

Join me as I share my random thoughts on my life as a mommy to twins, a wife, a daughter, a full-time worker and everything in between.
I consider my family the best part about my day! There is nothing like walking into my house after a long day at work to two little girls running towards me saying “mommy” the whole way. Being a mom is the most rewarding thing and I wouldn’t be able to do it without my wonderful husband who I’m soon going to give the alias as “Superman”.
This section is new for my blog and please bare with me as I start to post more and share more.
Take care!
