Sunday is Oscar night! I’m so excited! I love award season and I especially love the Oscars. I can’t even remember when my fascination began with the award seasons. It was probably in high school, but I think my interest grew even more in college. That was probably due to my major and minor….fashion design and performing arts. I secretly dreamt of being an actress one day. And yes, there were many times I would stand in the mirror practicing my acceptance speech. This is embarrassing to admit, but very true. My college roommates didn’t understand my fascination with the award season, but would sit and watch with me. I think our favorite part was watching the red carpet and seeing all the actors and actresses arrive. Since I was the fashion major it was always my very favorite. I would then try to keep my eyes opened till the very end to see who won the Picture of the Year. And if your asking, your asking why trying to hold my eyes open? Probably because I stayed up the night before either at a party or trying to finish all my homework assignments so I could watch the Oscars. Or maybe both? But if my mom is reading this, definitely doing my homework.
This year has an amazing line-up with a lot of amazing actors, actresses, directors, and movies. I have to admit though many of the films I haven’t seen because it’s hard for “S” and I to get to the movies these days, but they are all in our Netflix “que” so one way or the other we will watch them. And if you are wondering…. I never became the actress that I dreamt of. I ended up following the fashion side of things, but it hasn’t stopped my love for the Oscars. So come Sunday I will be sitting on my couch watching the show and wondering who will win that shinny gold statue. Will you?

Hey! Just checking in to see whats cooking in your house! Sorry to here the hubby is sick…I know exactly what you mean about the “another child” comments. I hope he is better and hoping also he hasnt caught something that will be shared with you and the girls! Enjoy the Oscars tonight! HOpefully you wont be watching them alone.
