I often wonder what you think.  Your eyes speak masses to me every time I see them, but what little thoughts go through your head as you absorb this world around you?  There are so many new and exciting things that you are introduced to each day.  And I often find myself wishing I could hear what you think as you sit in silence and explore this world around you.  Perhaps it’s about fairies and princesses or flowers and bugs?  Or why your sister always wants the same toy you want?  Or why mommy always asks “what are you thinking” or “how was your day”?  Or maybe it’s more complicated stuff like why do they call purple the color purple, why not blue?  Either way my sweet child I hope you think special thoughts and dream super high because that’s what you deserve.

And keep thinking and I’ll keep wondering….I love you my sweet child!  With my complete heart!

It’s official…the girls have started school!  They started their first day of “tot” school (the pre pre K of school) last Wednesday.  It was a big day for us all and a sad day for mommy and daddy.  I’m not sure who sheaded more tears, me or daddy?  Believe it or not, I think I would have to say daddy.  Yes, I have an emotional husband and he’s especially emotional when it comes to his two little girls.  It’s hard for us both to believe they are in school and are quickly growing up right before our eyes.  It feels like it was only yesterday we brought them home from the hospital.  They were so tiny and fragile and now look at them…big girls.

The girls have loved school so far and have been nothing but happy about their new adventure.  The year is going to be filled with so many amazing things and I can’t wait to watch it thru their eyes.    And I hope somehow I can wrap up all these memories and keep them safe in my heart to always remember.

Stay tune to more adventures of our first school year!

She is your mirror, shining back at you with a world of possibilities.  She is your witness, who sees you at your worst and best, and loves you anyway.  She is your partner in crime, your midnight companion, someone who knows when you are smiling, even in the dark.  She is your best friend, your secret teller, your permanent play pal, and your biggest supporter.  Most all she is your sister and the one person you can always count on any day of the week!

I’m over the moon with excitement because I finally have Photoshop!  It’s been on my wish list for a long time now so when it finally arrived last week I was like a little kid opening a present on Christmas morning.  And ever since, I have been playing with images.  One of my favorite is the above of one of the girls about a month ago when we went to our local zoo.  I used one of Pioneer Woman’s Photoshop Actions, but which one I’m not even positive because I was trying all sorts of things.  Once I figure my way around and get better I’ll update you.

And here is another I had fun with.  This I like to call my 70′s girls.  This was using Pioneer’s Woman’s Seventies Action.

Now back to see what else I can do…..

I went out and got a sprinkler for the girls to play in.  I wasn’t sure what they would do, but we need something to beat the heat and I thought how fun a sprinkler would be.  It ended up being great entertainment for $3!  I have to say most the time they spent trying to drink the water instead of actually playing in the water.

They did a lot of standing right in the middle.  Oh!  and notice the watering cans.  They spotted those across Lowe’s while I was in the search for a sprinkler.  Of course we couldn’t leave Lowe’s without them and of course they both had to have their very own.  To avoid the fights, I gave in.

There was one point in the sprinkler fun that one of the munchkins was trying to get Parker to join her in the water.  She was having her own conversation with him.  Even though Parker is a retriever he stays clear of water so in the end she gave up and just went right back to joining her sister in the water.

In the end I had two wet and tired girls.  What made it for me was when they both turned to me and said “mommy, so fun…thank you!”  Melted my heart!  I love my girls!
